About Me
My name is Kelsey Zieschang, and I am a sophomore business major at Texas A&M University. I grew up in Austin, TX, but that didn't stop me from becoming an Aggie! My dad graduated from Texas A&M, so I've had maroon running through my veins since day one. I've always known that I wanted to be a student here, so I knew going into high school that I had to work my hardest to make that dream a reality. During high school I was a part of my school's drill team and was lucky enough to serve as the Social Captain for my senior year. This opportunity turned out to be one of the most important experiences I had throughout my entire high school career. The position required me to be a true leader for the first time, making executive decisions and being responsible for the other social officers who worked under me. It was my first real taste of what it was like to be in charge and it just so turned out that I was good at it. I fostered the skills necessary to communicate with others, delegate work, and make unpopular decisions when necessary. As tough as it could be at times, I loved having that kind of responsibility and wanted to find a way that I could continue that in the future. That's what led me to apply for the Mays Business School at Texas A&M University and luckily enough I was accepted! I plan to get my degree in management so that someday I can hopefully run my own business and be my own boss, or work in other management positions that allow me to utilize these skills. If you would like to know more about my experiences you can find my resume here.
